ughhhh…. get married already.

so I just watched Avengers for the second time…

this will deviate from what I usually tumblr about, but today, I saw Avengers in theaters for the second time. I am convinced that Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson need to get married. There was seriously so much chemistry between Hawkeye and Black Widow to be acting…

I don’t care that they’re almost fourteen years apart. Scarlett’s dated men way older and Jeremy is in fantastic shape and looks pretty young. So goodness, go get hitched already and make babies.

… Anime Expo!

Guess what! I’m going to be on staff at Anime Expo in Los Angeles this summer!

Here’s what went down. Tonight, I was working in the Chimes office when I got a phone call from a number I didn’t know. My editor answered it, kind of as a joke, but she handed me the phone, a little bit befuddled.

I took the phone from her and stepped out, and turns out… It was a man from Anime Expo calling to say he would like me to work with them! I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t get my top choice, but I had been preparing myself ever since I hit the “submit” button that I was not going to hear back from them at all, since they said if applicants didn’t hear back by the end of May, it meant they were not selected.

Since I had been rejected from two of the three jobs I’d applied to in the past six months, I was not expecting to get anything. And frankly, I’ve been so busy with school and work this semester that I’d almost forgotten about it.

But I’ll be working in registration, which I’m super excited about! I love interacting with people and I can’t wait to see all the cosplays! Maybe I’ll even see Wong Fu. <—I’m not even joking about that.

Seriously, though. I’m so grateful. Can I tell you a secret? I’ve been wanting to go to AX for years — I’ve never been — but I could never afford it. Besides the great resume experience, that’s part of the reason why I applied for staff.

So, since I have no idea what I’m doing, I’d love to hear from anyone who has staffed before or attended for fun. What are some tips you guys have?

Oh, these are too legit. LOVE.

TP Zelda is probably one of my favorite Princess Zelda designs. I really wish they could have expanded on her character instead of focusing so much on Midna. The only glimpse we really got of Zelda in TP was the flashback when Zant took over…
